Raised in the fifteenth century, the building nowadays is modern, functional, ecological and beautiful. It houses the studio of architecture, urban planning, design and fashion, as well as the in-situ art gallery, recording studio and lecture room.

The house undeniably proves that adaptation of historic buildings to contemporary forms of use without significant prejudice to their historic value and identity is possible.

witness of past centuries

The tenement at Wroniecka 23 was built at the end of the fifteenth century. Throughout its history, the building has experienced numerous destructive processes, such as fires, floods or wars. It was repeatedly rebuilt, its functions changed many times. In the years 1993-2013 the house was not used by anyone and became a forgotten ruin. At present, Wroniecka 23, restored and revitalised, is evidence that a historic building that has witnessed past times may also be useful for future generations.

Wroniecka 23 is a centre of research, science, didactics and implementation. There is also a laboratory, streaming and lecture room and in-situ recording studio.

The house has undergone numerous archaeological and conservational tests which have provided valuable information about the history of the place. There is also a day-to-day metering conducted to collect data regarding parameters inside the building. Analyses are made with the use of the latest methods of research and documentation, e.g. 3D laser scanning.
